Toni Thomas
Toni Thomas has a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Brigham Young University, and has pursued graduate studies in Mathematics at Cal State University San Marcos. She turned to writing after the onset of children and Rheumatoid Arthritis limited the other activities she had been fond of pursuing.
Toni's writing and editing credits include, From Grandma With Love: A Legacy of Values, Jimi Hendrix: Voices from Home (editor), and various magazine and newspaper articles.
Most recently Toni has been honored with an Award of Merit in the 2010 LDS Church Music Submission Competition for the hymn text, "Come Away Exultant Angels", as well as an Award of Distinction in the 2009 LDS Church Music Submission Competition for the hymn text, "Come All Unto the Temple" and an Award of Merit in the 2007 LDS Church Music Submission Competition for the hymn text "May Thy Daystar Rise in Me."
She has also collaborated with Brett Stewart on several works, with Justin Gray on the musical play Company B, on "Escondido," the official song ofthe city of Escondido, and several other projects. She has cowritten a series of Christmas songs with Norm Boaz, as well as "I Have Found the Temple" and other Gospel-related songs. Toni especially enjoys collaborating with Diane and their special relationship that carries into their works.
Toni has three children and four grandchilden and resides in the lovely community of Poway in southern California.
